It’s without a doubt that google play store has a scrutiny system that test and scans apps against malware before been ed to the store, but it seems those measures are not so tight, since trojans, malware apps still find their way into the Android number one store( play store).
According to research carried by Eset Livewire security team, some malicious horoscope apps have been found on google play store these apps still victims banking details and s for their dubious acts,
These remotely controlled Trojans are capable of dynamically targeting any apps found on the victim’s device with tailor-made phishing forms. Aside from this, they can intercept and redirect text messages to by SMS-based two-factor-authentication, intercept call logs, and and install other apps on the compromised device. These malicious apps were ed under mostly different developer names and guises, but code similarities and a shared C&C server suggest the apps are the work of a single attacker or group

Although these apps have been removed from the google play store, the total number of s has reached to 30,000 and since google play store is not the only store for ing android apps there are possibilities that these apps are still waxing strong in other androids stores, but not to worry this post will expose them to keep you safe from any harm.

Eset Research explains that these apps Disguise them self as been uninstalled due to incompatible issues on the victims device by popping out incompatible message upon launch, while carrying out its malicious activities on the victims android device, At first this malware activates a dropper that checks for emulator apps, If these checks fail, it then decrypts and drops a loader and a payload that contains the actual banking malware. Finally, the malware will intercept and send SMS messages, and and install additional applications of the operator’s choice, head to the victims banking apps and collect the sensitive details and use them for their dubious acts, these are the more reasons while you should control background running apps on your Android device, since these apps tend to run these activities on the background.
